We had the opportunity to
assist in the redesigning of the main control room for WXBC radio in
Hardinsburg, Kentucky. The station has been in the same building for 12 years.
Their current location is the second in the station's history. The staff decided
it was time to put things to place instead of living with where things had
landed from their move some years ago.
Our challenge was to redesign their studio and reconfigure their work space to
make the most of the space and the investment. We were able to transform a
stacked room of equipment to what is now a organized work station to operate
their broadcasts.
Below are some pictures of the project.

All the equipment was removed with wires sorted. The room received new paint and carpet and awaits the new cabinets.
The custom cabinets are in the process of being installed.
This is now the new view of the studio from the doorway. Yes this is the same room!
This is a side view of the control area. The talent now has a comfortable view of in studio guests, production room and yes the door way.
